June 1999 Conference Call Minutes
Present: Pete, Roger, Kerry, Krista, K2, Rob, Christine, Julie
Welcome new members
Kerry's looking forward to this & is looking for guidance & input
on what to do to as a regional rep.
Julie- like to be kept informed & some
sharing of info on what's up with the Steering Committee. Krista will
send regional membership lists to regional reps.
Question of workplan
did approve a workplan in Feb & we got funded by NRC for what
we wanted. Have Fritz post workplan on the webpage.one of key things
is
Congress workshop.

Krista & K2 get together on brochure & distribution.
K2 is working
out logistics & food plans.
Krista to check on exhibitor registration
info- get back to K2 & Christine.
SC meeting on Friday. Jack bring
APPA powerpoint presentation K2 will arrange powerpoint capabilities-
for presentation at Video Night.

1999/2000 Regionals
Roger- looks like UNLV, somewhere in the SouthEast (w/CRA?), maybe
TX? MI? WI? Chicago (Betsy Vandercook U of I, Chicago)? want to get
folks'
reaction to Biocorp donating biodegradable cutlery for workshops
as a sponsorship? Looks good as long as the stuff gets composted & not
thrown away.
Standards
Kurt's revised spreadsheet sent to SC on 6/1/99 strictly by tons.
looking for feedback from SC on issue. Want to get current data before
Cincinatti
from schools that plan to attend the NRC. Fill out the spreadsheet & send
to Kurt who will compile the info & get on to the webpage. Plannming
to have consolidated database before Cincinatti IF you get info to
him by August 15? KURT is this right?
Does the existing standing time of the first Tuesday of the month at
12 EST still work for every one?
Expectations of regional reps
need contacts for SRO's - Krista will send out. Ideas on Regional
Reps- work with SRO's on how to get members into CURC, keeping members
informed & feeling
involved, work on regional workshops. more ideas? let's talk on email!!
