Still have a second discounted registration available for another booth volunteer. Keefe will contact someone she knows who might need this assistance.

Pete contacted Jennifer Jessen (Seattle) for a list of possible places to meet. Pete is investigating options. Kate will check with NRC conference planners for local places and get back to Pete.

Member Mailings

Prior years we have mailed a postcard to CURC members with CURC-related conference information. Keefe will draft one, send it out for comments and then send to members.

Speaker needed for Back to the Basics Track

Allan Rathe, EIU, Lisa Heller, Dump & Run, are speaking. Butch will look into filling this speaker position. Kate will have Rebecca e-mail a formal request to Butch.

2] Work Plan Review

Need to work on our tracking of work plan goals/tasks and our reporting on accomplishments. Will re-send the spreadsheet that was developed to track status of work plan to everyone. Please look at this, use it and fill in where we are on the various projects on which you have taken the lead.

3] Committees

Membership

Keefe is still waiting for feedback from all of us on why you joined CURC and/or what you think the benefits are. PLEASE SEND YOUR THOUGHTS ON THIS TO KEEFE <recycle@uncg.edu> AND/OR ANN <recycling@fmd.emory.edu>.

We still need to figure out how to update and keep current member information and work with NRC to figure out how to keep up with their database. Kate will send a list of college or University affiliated NRC members to Keefe.

Outreach

Rob had to leave the call early so update will come at a later date. Minimal response received to the NRC Connection request for “does your alma mater recycle.” Erica will contact Kurt re: the status of web site, changes necessary and how posting, etc. is working these days.

We do not have an updated CURC brochure. Kate will look to see if she can find our last request for changes to this.

4] Regional Rep Roles

Will discuss on next call. Regional Reps. please be available for the next call so we can discuss this. (Regional Reps. are: Ann, Bob, Butch, Julie, Keefe, Pat, Roger)

5] September meeting day/time

Will get back to our regular schedule for calls in September… THUS, OUR NEXT CALL IS THE FIRST WEDNESDAY OF SEPTEMBER, 9/5, NOON EDT.
