1. Work
Plan/Budget Update
Pete is
playing tag with NRC, when he gets the information he will share with
the committee.
2. ABC’s
Update
Four chapters
have been forwarded to Kate Krebs, she will get back to the Steering
Committee with comments. Angie is working
on Chapter 4; Carolyn completed Chapter 14 (C&D); Mike is working
on Chapters 2 and 25. Julie completed Chapter 1; Karyn and Christine
are still wrapping up a couple more Chapters. Need status from Alana
on Chapter 3 and Pete on Chapter 5.
3. Webmaster
Consider
this position more of a coordinator, not necessarily to do the actual
design. We may have to pay someone to do the actual
input and design, unless the person designated as the webmaster has
a person on staff that can do the work. Pete will develop a job description
for a Steering Committee member for this position.
4. Membership
Brochure
update - Julie or Pete will try and get in touch with Keefe with
regards to the non-CURC list. Angie will look into
getting CURC members who have dropped out because their state no longer
has a state RO. She will pursue this with questions such as, do they
realize they are no longer member of NRC if they paid their dues through
their RO? Janice Cady has left NRC, CURC does not have a representative
on the NRC board, there is a board meeting this weekend that may result
in the assignment of a representative. Angie wants a list of CURC members
and states with RO’s, this is on the NRC web site. Richard Brundedge
(?) may be able to provide a current list of the membership and between
that and the state RO list it may be possible to seek out from NRC’s
list college people that are not active in CURC. Angie will try and have
a report to the Committee by February.
5. Regional
Workshops/CA Planning
Julie Muir
is coordinating college sessions jointly with
CURC for the August 2004 Congress in San Francisco.
Pat will contact Julie and see what plans are in process and schedule
a meeting to work out details on how do we split revenues and work
efforts. Carolyn and Pat will look into what other RO’s are doing, are they having
CURC events?
6. Rapid
Response
Shelf until
January
7. APPA/NWF
Shelf
until January
8. NERC
How
would this benefit CURC – Angie will check with Lynn
Rubinstein, is this better than what we have already in our benchmarking.
What type of support can CURC give or should they give. Is our support
wanted or needed? Angie will get info with the next day or so. What about
other Regions, nationwide? Motion: Angie moves that the CURC Steering
Committee give its support to NERC to develop this Environmental Benefits
Calculator for use by the nationwide college and university community.
Second? Motion was seconded by ____________. Majority of votes were Yes
to the motion. Pete would get a letter to Lynn by the end of the week.
