Florida K-12 Schools Recycling Pledge Card Contest
Description: All Florida Schools are invited to participate in the Florida K-12 Schools Recycling Pledge Card Contest. This contest is designed to reward one class each at the elementary, middle and high school levels for collecting the greatest number of recycling pledge cards. The class with the most number of pledges at their level will receive a gently used desktop computer including monitor, courtesy of Creative Recycling Systems, Inc. The event will begin on October 9, 2007 and will end on November 21, 2007. It is being hosted by Recycle Florida Today and the Department of Environmental Protection.

Description:To celebrate National Recycling Day on November 15, 2007, the Waste Reduction Committee and the Resource Recovery department are sponsoring a School Waste Reduction Ideas contest for all students. The focus of the contest is to foster an awareness of waste reduction and disposal. Assorted prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place students in the elementary, middle, and high school categories.
